It's the [colour] room's 1 year berfday!!! Spank us on the booty and wish us luck, as I start embracing some new technology! My lovely GF Angie bought me an iPod touch, remembering that i mentioned something about wanting to use one as a midi controller on the road...
There was some issues with it, as I'm a windows guy, and the best program to use with this is called touch OSC and it doesn't send midi signals, only OSC signals that are native to apple. And since i was born with a blue IBM spoon in my mouth, it was foreign and confusing to me. But after a week of research and a laundry list of new swear words, i figured it all out, all the way down to custom layouts, and thus i've started a new addiction. Call me nuts, but now i want an iPad.... (BOO THIS MAN!!!) See the video in the link to check out the technical madness... ----> LINK!!!
This new technology isn't without it's hang ups... Looking around the booth for a 5 inch screen is much different than having a keyboard in your face while you play... I ended having a leash made for the iPod, and the rubber case rested on top of the record, screwing up my first mix a little, but i'm a hockey player... I trucked thru it, as usual.
